Wednesday Morning Bible Study:

We have a weekly Wednesday morning Bible study at 9:00 AM upstairs in Hope Center on the church campus.. This study is led by either Pastor Laherty or Pastor Luehr. We are currently studying the Book of Acts.

Home Bible Study:

At 7:00 PM on the first and third Mondays of each month there is a home Bible study. This group is currently on hiatus for the summer. Announcement will be made when this Bible study class is scheduled to resume.

Women's Bible Studies:

On the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 AM women are invited to gather for the women's prayer breakfast at Carrow's Restaurant on Beach Boulevard in La Habra. The women gather in a quiet back room to share devotions, prayers and breakfast. The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, August 12th.

The Women's "Joy Circle" will not be meeting in August. Plans are to resume this group in September. The start date will be announced later.

Our Emanuel youth have scheduled a Bike-A-Thon on Saturday, August 21st at 10:00 am to raise funds to be donated to the Lutheran Malaria Initiative (LMI). The Lutheran Malaria Initiative is a pan-Lutheran organization to work for the prevention, treatment, and public awareness of malaria. All monies raised will help provide mosquito nets for impoverished people in Africa and Latin Ameica to protect them from malaria carrying mosquitos.

Registration fee is $10 per rider, which provides one mosquito net for someone vulnerable to malaria. Contact the church office at 562-691-0656 for further details.

Generation 2 Picnic

The first Generation 2 picnic in July was well attended, with good food and ample conversation. We had so much fun we decided to have another one. Please join us for this casual and fun time with other Generation 2 folks in our congregation and community.

We will provide hot dogs, condiments and lemonade and ask you to bring a side dish to share. It will be a potluck in the park!

There is a great playground for the kids and a nice open area for pets!
